Passport Agency Instruction

If you are traveling within the next 30 days and do not live near a Regional Passport Agency Location, cannot get an appointment, or simply do not have the time to spend applying in person but need your passport expedited: Passport expediting is highly advisable as they can process passport applications as quickly as 24 hours or same business day. You are applying for an expedited new first time passport if you answer yes to any of the following:
You are applying for a
Passport for the first
Your previous Passport has expired and was
issued more than 15 years
Your previous Passport has expired and it
was issued when you were
under 16 and you are now
If you answer yes to all of these questions, then you are eligible to renew your passport:
I can submit my most recent passport; AND
My current passport is not damaged; AND
My passport was issued within the past 15 years (is not expired more than 5 years); AND
I was at least age
16 when my passport was
If your passport has been lost, stolen, or has been damaged, you must report the Passport
as lost, stolen, or damaged and apply for a Replacement Passport.
The second passport has a validty of two years and is given out at the sole discretion of the
State Department. You may qualify for a second passport if you are traveling between countries
that have political tensions with one another, your passport shows very excessive travel, or for
travel conflicts such as needing to travel and having a visa processed simultaneously.
If your Passport has run out of pages or doesn't have enough pages for your next international
trip, you may add additional pages to your passport. Your passport must be current and must
not expire within the next 6 months in which case you will need to do a renewal. You may only
add additional pages to your passport two times.
If you are currently under the age of 16, you are considered a Child Passport Applicant.
If your childs passport needs to be renewed or has been lost, stolen, or damaged, then
this is the passport option you need to select. All Child Passport applicants must re-apply
for new Child Passport every 5 years till their 16th birthday.
